4 teens charged after person reportedly shot at with BB gun at Toronto subway station

Police are investigating and four teenagers are in custody and are facing charges after a passenger was reportedly shot at with a BB gun on a Toronto subway train.

Toronto police said the incident occurred at York University Subway Station at around 11:43 a.m. on Thursday.

Police said officers received reports that teens allegedly had a replica BB gun.

Police said two BB-style guns were recovered.

Officers said the victim – a female passenger – was not injured as a result of the incident.

In an update late Thursday, police said four youths from Toronto were arrested. They have charged two 15 year-old boys, a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl.

Each teenager is facing two charges — weapons dangerous and assault with a weapon.

All four teens will appear at Toronto North West Youth Justice Centre on Feb. 8.
