Surrey RCMP are investigating after a man and a woman were assaulted near a SkyTrain station early Saturday morning.
Mounties say the man and woman were approached by two men near the Gateway SkyTrain Station just after midnight.
The two men offered to sell them marijuana near 102 Avenue and Park Drive, according to police.
The four people got into an argument and one of the two men assaulted the couple with an unknown weapon.
When Mounties arrived they found a woman laying on the ground bleeding from a cut wound. The man had also been cut.
Both victims were treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspects fled the scene and remain at large.
The suspect with the weapon is described as a dark-skinned, possibly Indo-Canadian, man, wearing a dark coloured puffy jacket.
The other man is described as a Caucasian man wearing all black.
