United States defense department to provide $300 million in security assistance to Ukraine

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said on Friday they were “not in a position to comment” on Russia’s claims that a fuel depot was attacked by Ukrainian forces. Russia accused Ukraine on Friday of carrying out an airstrike against the fuel depot in the Russian city of Belgorod, which it says could jeopardize peace talks with Kyiv – Apr 1, 2022

The U.S. Department of Defense will provide an additional $300 million in security assistance to Ukraine, to include laser-guided rocket systems, drones, and commercial satellite imagery services.

“This announcement represents the beginning of a contracting process to provide new capabilities to Ukraine’s Armed Forces,” Defense Department spokesman John Kirby said in a statement.
