West Vancouver police are investigating a brazen jewelry-store robbery in the busy Park Royal Shopping Centre Thursday evening.
Police say three masked suspects smashed display cases and used pepper spray on staff inside Lugaro Jewellers shortly before 8 p.m.
The suspects ran from the store and were last seen headed north in a grey, older-model compact car with a large dent in the rear.
"Several persons in the vicinity of the robbery were treated for exposure to the spray irritant," said police spokesman Cpl. Jag Johal.
An undetermined amount of jewelry was stolen.
