An inquest begins today into the death of a man who died in a Regina Police Service jail cell.
Scott Norman Schwager, 47, was found not breathing in his cell in April 2008. Earlier that day he was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. Police previously said there were no signs of foul play in Schwager’s death. Inquests typically happen when someone dies while in police custody.
The inquest is scheduled to run all week at the Best Western Seven Oaks Inn.
