Winnipeg police say man who died Dec. 23 has been identified

Winnipeg police say they’ve identified a man who died after he was found with what investigators describe as significant injuries near the St. James Bridge last week.

The man was found near the bridge Dec. 23. He was taken to hospital, where he later died.

On Wednesday police released a description of the man and photos of two tattoos, looking for the public’s help identifying the man

In a release later in the day Wednesday police said the man had since been identified and foul play is not suspected in his death.
