Longtime Liberal candidate Hedy Fry has been re-elected in the riding of Vancouver Centre for her 10th term this federal election, Global News projects.
As of 10:26 p.m., Fry is leading with 39.9 per cent of the vote. NDP’s Breen Ouellette was in second with 29.4 per cent, followed by Conservative Harry Cockell with 23.2 per cent.
There were 127 out of 228 polls reporting at the time.
Vancouver Centre covers a majority of downtown, cutting off in the northeast at Cambie Street and Dunsmuir and compassing Stanley Park and False Creek.
The riding has been around for more than 100 years, and no one has represented the community longer than Fry, who was first elected in 1993.
