Teen who died at hockey camp collapsed without warning

The general manager of the Acadie-Bathurst Titan says Jordan Boyd didn’t speak to anyone before he collapsed Monday.

The 16-year-old hockey player from Bedford, N.S. was pronounced dead in hospital.

The team’s G-M, Sylvain Couturier, says Boyd was waiting to take part in a drill at the rink in Bathurst, New Brunswick, before he fell to the ice.

Results from an autopsy have not been released.

Boyd played most of last season with  Rothesay Netherwood School as a right winger, scoring 39 points in 41 games.

He was a fourth round pick by the Titan in this summer’s QMJHL draft.
