Police have recovered a body from Lake Ontario and have confirmed it is missing teenager Mason MacPhail.

The discovery made shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday morning.

The Toronto police marine unit found a body in the far eastern point of the channel near Polson Pier.

"It’s not a good day," said Det. Sgt. Howie Page, the detective in charge of the missing persons investigation.

Page said on Tuesday night, the night Mason went missing, there was an altercation inside of club where Mason went to see a concert, and that he was escorted out of the club.
