TORONTO — A woman is dead after her car crashed into a tree in Pickering overnight.
Emergency crews responded to 9th Concession near Sideline 28 at about 3:15 a.m.

The victim was heavily trapped in the wreckage and firefighters had to remove the vehicle’s roof.
She was pronounced dead on the scene and Durham Regional Police traffic investigators were called in.
No one else was in the car at the time of the crash, and no other vehicles were involved.
