Toronto police say a 67-year-old female pedestrian was fatally struck by a cement truck in the city’s downtown area.
Emergency crews were called to Cherry Street and Mill Street at around 12:40 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said a senior was struck by a truck turning right while she was walking in a crosswalk and suffered “very serious injuries.” The woman died at the scene.
Officers said the driver of the truck remained on scene.
