Many Laval residents whose power has been out since last Friday’s storms will have to arm themselves with more patience. Power will not be restored in some of the city’s areas until Wednesday.
As of Monday morning, nearly 50,000 Hydro-Quebec clients did not have electricity.

That is a small fraction of the roughly half-million Hydro customers who first lost power in the storms’ immediate aftermath.
Most of the people still without power will have it restored by Tuesday, insisted Hydro-Quebec.
The others, who for the most part reside in Laval’s Ste. Rose area, expect to have their electricity restored later in the week.
