Three kayakers have paddled 135 kilometres in under 24 hours, all to honour their late friend Tyler Lewis.
Lewis, who was a UBC Ph.D. candidate, passed away last year in a skiing accident.
The three kayakers paddled from Victoria’s inner harbour to False Creek in Vancouver.

The goal of their fundraising event — called Rain City Central — is to raise $15,000 for the Tyler Lewis Clean Energy Research Foundation.
It was established by Lewis’s parents to continue his vision of creating a more sustainable future.
