Winnipeg police say they have arrested a man who is accused of luring a child online.
Police said the Internet Child Exploitation Unit started investigating the 29-year-old man, who was pretending to be a 14-year-old boy online, on June 25.
The man was in contact with the victim, who was under 14, for about a month. When the victim’s parents found out about the messages, they called police.
On July 14, the ICE Unit arrested a man from Winnipeg after an undercover investigation.
Kenneth Dale Emerson faces two charges of luring a person under the age of 16 by means of telecommunication.
Const. Rachel Vertone said there is always potential for more victims and “if there are, we would like to speak to them.”
