Five charged following thefts from cars in east Regina

A call of a car being broken into early Wednesday morning resulted in five teenagers being charged with theft.

Regina police got the call around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday from a resident who says their car was being broken into in the area of Windfield Road in east Regina.

Officers later tracked down five teenagers — all male — in the same area where the alleged theft took place.

Police alleged each one was in possession of items and cash thought to be stoen from vehicles in the area.

Two 17 year olds, who cannot be named because of their age, have been charged with possession and theft of stolen propoerty.

Jarred Kyle Mosquito and Joshua Dale Ross, both 18, face similar charges.

All are scheduled to make their first court appearance today.
