CALGARY- Police are searching for a teen who sexually assaulted an eight-year-old girl in the northwest community of Silver Springs.
Around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the girl was playing with a 10-year-old friend outside a house in the area of 61 Ave. and Silver Mead Cres., when a young man on a bike approached them.
After speaking with them and coaxing them into ‘playing a game’, he got the girl into some nearby bushes, and began sexually assaulting her.
They were interrupted by a neighbor, and the suspect jumped on his bike and rode off.
He is described as white, 14-17 years old, 6’ tall with brown hair and blue eyes.
He was wearing a grey shirt, black and white running shoes and was carrying a green and black backpack. The teen was riding a black mountain bike.
Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
