EDMONTON- Grande Prairie RCMP have confirmed the death of a 51-year-old man outside the city limits Wednesday is a homicide.
Patrick Kearney, of Grande Prairie, was found dead around 5:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, in the area of Resources Road and the entrance to the Dune’s subdivision.
Kearney’s cause of death is not being released. However, RCMP say a bike was located at the scene, but they do not believe Kearney was hit by a vehicle. Police say they are not investigating the incident as a hit and run.
Early Saturday, officers were searching for a woman they believed may have information that could assist them in their investigation. Police say they have located 32-year-old Erin Walker, who is from the Grande Prairie area.
RCMP are asking anyone with information on Kearney’s death to contact RCMP at 780-830-5700.
