CALGARY –  Speed and alcohol are considered factors in a serious injury rollover early Sunday morning.

It happened around 12:20am on Stoney Trail near 96th avenue NE.

A witness reported seeing a Toyota Camry speeding northbound on Stoney Trail.

The driver then lost control of the vehicle and rolled in the centre median.

The 21-year-old male driver was ejected from the vehicle.

He was transported to Foothills hospital with life-threatening head and internal injuries.

The Calgary Police Traffic Section is investigating.
