TORONTO – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers on Manitoulin Island have deemed concerns raised by a local business owner about murder suspect Dellen Millard, unfounded.
Millard is charged with first degree murder in connection with the death of Tim Bosma.
OPP Constable Allan Boyd confirmed that the OPP were investigating a tip that came to them from a local Manitoulin Island business owner about Millard.
He refused to detail what the tip entailed.
The tip came from the owner of a boat service, Discovery Boat Charters. Global News was unable to contact the owner in repeated calls Thursday.
Manitoulin Island is located over 300 kilometres north of Toronto.
Toronto Police also continued their investigation into a Waterloo-area farm owned by Millard on Thursday.
Homicide Investigators began searching Millard’s farmland earlier this week.
They refuse to say what led them to the farm but various media outlets have reported on Millard’s relationship with missing Toronto woman Laura Babcock.
