MONTREAL – The city’s first ever international beach soccer competition took place this weekend with teams from Canada, the United States, Mexico, Italy and Brazil competing for the gold.
Brazil scooped up first place in both the womens and mens divisions.

They played against the States, who took second in the womens competition (2-6) and Italy, (3-4) respectively in the mens.
Mexico came in third (womens, 4-1; mens, 9-2) and Canada, happily and graciously, was last but not least.
