Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for northeastern and southwestern Ontario. Thunderstorms are forecast for northeastern Ontario this evening and overnight. Southwestern Ontario is likely to receive thunderstorms late in the evening as a warm front goes through the area. There is a slight risk that these storms may be severe, bringing large hail and torrential rain.

Thunderstorms are again forecast for southwestern Ontario Wednesday with a slight chance that these storms will reach severe limits in the morning with damaging winds. Eastern Ontario may also see scattered non-severe thunderstorms.
