Provincial police have laid manslaughter charges in two separate suspected opioid overdoses in southern Ontario.
OPP say there were called to a residence in the Municipality of Central Huron on May 26 where they found a 42-year-old man in medical distress.
They say the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the investigation led them to charge a 27-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man with manslaughter.
Manslaughter charges were laid in another suspected opioid overdose case.
Police say a 23-year-old woman from Elora, Ont., was transported to a local hospital in medical distress, and was later pronounced dead on April 3.
They say a 32-year-old man, also from Elora, was charged with manslaughter in connection with the death.
Police say both cases are suspected opioid overdoses and anyone with information on either incident is being asked to come forward.
