Flooding could hit Southern Saskatchewan over the weekend

REGINA – Nine central Saskatchewan communities are still in states of emergency and we haven’t been hit quite as hard here in the south, that could change over the weekend.

The water in Wascana Creek is rising, and warmer temperatures, combined with heavy snow packs, are threatening higher water levels than in 2011.

The dog park has been closed until further notice because of flooding.

Fast moving water with strong undertows will be flowing through the city over the next few days. Everyone is reminded to stay away.
