Body of Kitchener man found in Oshawa, death ruled a homicide

Wellington County OPP say that the body of Jason John Brown was found in Oshawa on Wednesday and that his death is being investigated as a homicide.

Police say they were called to a home on Jessie Street in Harriston, Ont. Tuesday for a report of a missing man. The man was identified as Brown.

A day later, OPP were contacted by Durham Regional Police with the news that Brown’s body was located on the side of the road near Stevenson Road North and Raglan Road West in Oshawa.

Durham Police said that the body had been found by a city of Oshawa employee at around 8:10 a.m.

Police were called and arrived to find an adult male with obvious signs of trauma.

A post-mortem was completed on Brown’s body and police are now treating the 43-year-old’s death as a homicide.

A police spokesperson told Global News that the cause of death was not being released.
