Just after 7:30 p.m., the dog, Atlas, was taken from a fenced-in yard in the 2400 block of Taylor Crescent in Kelowna’s Mission area, according to RCMP.

“The female suspect seemingly opened a gate to the property and called the Golden Retriever out of the yard,” Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey said in a news release. “The dog named Atlas then followed the woman, who ran on foot towards Birch Avenue.”
