A Brighton woman faces impaired driving charges following a parking lot collision in the town on Thursday morning.

Northumberland OPP say around 7:50 a.m., witnesses say a pickup truck reversed and struck another vehicle in a restaurant parking lot, then nearly missed the restaurant building before proceeding westbound on Prince Edward Street.

Officers quickly located the vehicle and the suspect at her residence on Dundas Street.

Danielle Long, 39, of Brighton, was arrested and charged with operation while impaired – blood over 80 mg and operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.

She is scheduled to appear in court on March 13.
