Daon Gordon Glasgow, the suspect in the shooting of a Metro Vancouver transit police officer in Surrey, has now been charged.
Surrey RCMP say Glasgow, 35, has been charged with attempted murder using a restricted or prohibited firearm, discharging a restricted or prohibited firearm with intent to endanger life, intentionally discharging a firearm while being reckless to the life and safety of others, and unlawful possession of a loaded restricted or prohibited firearm.
Glasgow was wanted in connection with the shooting of transit police officer Josh Harms on Jan. 30, and was the subject of a manhunt for a number of days afterward.
He was arrested Feb. 3 by Surrey RCMP, with the assistance of the Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team, Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Service, Air 1 and Burnaby RCMP in Burnaby at a residence on the corner of Boundary and Rumble.
Harms has since been released from hospital with injuries to his arms, and is expected to recover.

“With these charges now being laid, I am pleased to see this matter now before the courts where the administration of justice can begin,” assistant commissioner Dwayne McDonald, Surrey RCMP officer in charge, said in a release.
“Thank you to the hard work and dedication of our investigative team, assisted by numerous officers and staff within the detachment as well as other police agencies across the Lower Mainland.”
