Police are investigating after a pickup allegedly fled the scene following a collision with a car near Fraserville on Monday night – Feb 12, 2019

OPP say a Peterborough man is accused of fleeing a collision on County Road 28 in Fraserville on Monday night.

Around 10:40 p.m, emergency crews were called to the area near Syer Line, just south of Peterborough, for a collision involving a pickup truck and car.

Peterborough County OPP say at the time, an officer was travelling northbound on County Road 28 near Larmer Line when he noticed a southbound pickup travelling with a missing front wheel and sparks coming from the front of the vehicle.

The officer stopped the vehicle and suspected the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

The OPP officer contacted Peterborough Police Service which at the same time was investigating a nearby collision. The investigation led police to believe the pickup truck fled the original collision scene.
