A woman has been charged in connection with a death investigation in North Bay, police say.

According to North Bay OPP, on July 9, 2018, a 54-year-old woman from North Bay died while being bathed.

Police say following an investigation by the crime unit and the forensic identification unit, Mallorie Makara, 34, from North Bay was arrested and charged with failing to provide the necessaries of life.

Officers say she was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in North Bay on March 5.
