NORTH BAY, Ont. – Justin Brazeau finished off a hat trick in overtime and added an assist as the North Bay Battalion edged the Flint Firebirds 5-4 on Thursday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Matthew Struthers and Luke Burghardt also scored for the Battalion (24-24-4).

Ethan Keppen struck twice for Flint (9-40-4) with Cody Morgan and Jack Wismer also chipping in.

Christian Propp turned aside 27 shots for the win in net as Emanuel Vella made 35 saves in defeat.

North Bay was 1 for 5 on the power play and the Firebirds were 1 for 4.

GENERALS 4 BULLDOGS 3 (SO)

HAMILTON — Kyle MacLean scored in both regulation and the shootout as Oshawa topped the Bulldogs.

Allan McShane and Serron Noel rounded out the attack for the Generals (31-18-3).

Matthew Strome had a pair of goals for Hamilton (23-24-5) with Logan Morrison adding the other.

STEELHEADS 3 ICEDOGS 1

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. — Cole Carter had a pair of goals to lift Mississauga over the IceDogs.

James Hardie also scored for the Steelheads (24-21-6).

Kirill Maksimov found the back of the net for Niagara (32-12-7).

The IceDogs’s Oliver Castleman earned a game misconduct for slew foot at 10:29 of the second period.

67’S 4 PETES 3 (SO)

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — Kyle Maksimovich scored twice in regulation and had the deciding goal in the shootout as Ottawa got past the Petes.

Lucas Chiodo had the other for the 67’s (39-9-4).

Erik Cermak, Adam Timleck and Ryan Merkley supplied the offence for Peterborough (24-24-3).

SPIRIT 4 SPITFIRES 1

WINDSOR, Ont. — Cole Coskey struck twice as Saginaw downed the Spitfires.

Brady Gilmour had the winner and Damien Giroux also scored for the Spirit (33-14-4).

Jean-Luc Foudy scored for Windsor (21-28-7).

ATTACK 4 COLTS 2

BARRIE, Ont. — Kaleb Pearson had a pair of goals as Owen Sound doubled up the Colts.

Barret Kirwin and Carter Robertson rounded out the scoring for the Attack (25-22-4).

Jacob Tortora and Jason Willms scored for Barrie (21-26-3).
