Ty Kolle scores first WHL hat trick in Regina Pats 4-3 loss to Calgary Hitmen

WATCH: The Regina Pats fall 4-3 to the Calgary Hitmen in their second game of a four-game road trip in Western Hockey League action Wednesday night.

Ty Kolle’s first career Western Hockey League (WHL) hat trick wasn’t enough as the Regina Pats (14-36-1-2) came up short in a 4-3 road loss to the Calgary Hitmen (27-19-4-1) Wednesday night.

Kolle scored his ninth, 10th and 11th goal of the season and was named the game’s second star.

Hitmen Kaden Elder was given the first star of the game, scoring his 21st and 22nd of the season and was a plus 3.

Mark Kastelic and Riley Stotts rounded out the Hitmen scoring.

Max Paddock had another strong night in net, stopping 34-of-38 shots while Calgary’s Jack McNaughton stopped 33 of the 36 shots he faced.

The Pats were 0-for-4 on the powerplay – the Hitmen went 0-for-3 with the man advantage.

The Pats continue their four-game road trip with a game against the Edmonton Oil Kings (29-16-4-4) on Sunday.
