Police are investigating after a collision in East Gwillimbury left one woman dead.

York Regional Police say a vehicle drove off the road on Queensville Sideroad East, just west of Leslie Street, on Tuesday at around 10:20 a.m. Police say the driver, a 61-year-old woman from East Gwillimbury, was found without vital signs.

Officers say she was transported to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

According to police, the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information or who witnessed the incident is asked to call 1-866-876-5423 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
