Environment Canada is warning people in Eastern Ontario to be prepared for a snowfall that may cause hazardous driving conditions.
The weather agency issued a warning on Monday morning, predicting significant snow in the Kingston, Brockville and Belleville regions.
The weather authority says the snow will begin sometime later in the day on Monday and should continue until Tuesday morning.
The snowfall is expected to be heavy at points, and Environment Canada is calling for up to 20 centimetres of snowfall by Tuesday.
Areas closer to Lake Ontario are expected to see the most snow, since moisture from the lake could add to precipitation.

The weather agency is warning people to beware of fast-changing travel conditions.
“Travel may become hazardous due to reduced visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow.”
