CALGARY – One man is in hospital recovering from gunshot wounds after a Saturday morning altercation in Forest Lawn.
Around 6:40 am, police were called to the 2300 block of 48 Ave. SE.
Police say two men armed with weapons broke into a home demanding money.
Gunshots were fired and the victim fled to a nearby residence.
The victim, a man in his early 20s, called police and was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition, suffering from gunshot wounds to his legs.
Police brought in tactical and canine units in response to the incident, and are now looking for the two suspects.
Police say the suspects and victim are known to each other.
Four people who were with the victim at the time of the shooting were taken into custody and are being questioned as witnesses.
