Two people were taken to hospital after a house fire in Winnipeg Monday evening.
Fire crews were called at 6:30 p.m. to reports of a fire in a one and half-story home in the 100 block of McLaughlin Avenue in Silver Heights.
Once arriving, crews saw flames shooting out of a top floor window.
Thick smoke filled the inside of the home, with the fire blazing between the attic and upper floor.
The city says an offensive attack was launched, helping to extinguish the fire.
All occupants who were in the house evacuated before crews arrived.
Two people were taken to the hospital and reported to be in stable condition.
The cause of the fire is being investigated and the cost of damage is undetermined at this time.
