An elderly man is dead after being hit by a vehicle in northeast London Sunday night.
London police say they were called to the area of Huron Street and Sorrel Road around 8:15 p.m. The crash between a pedestrian and vehicle happened in the eastbound lanes of Huron Street, just east of Sorrel Road.

Police say 89-year-old Joseph Vernille, of London, was pronounced dead at the scene.
London police’s Traffic Management Unit is investigating.
