Toronto police search for cab driver who allegedly sexually assaulted woman

TORONTO – Toronto police are looking for a cab driver who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman on the weekend.

Police say the incident happened at 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, near Gerrard Street East and Broadview Avenue.

They say the woman was waiting for a bus when an orange and turquoise cab drove past her, then circled back.

The driver offered to give the woman a ride, she said she did not have enough money for the fare and he agreed to take her anyway.

Police allege the driver assaulted the woman when the cab reached the destination.

The driver is described as between 45 and 50 years old, with a light-brown complexion, thin build, with black receding hair, partially bald, and unshaven.
