EDITOR’S NOTE: This story was updated after authorities announced that Audrey and Emily Rodrigue were found safe on Thursday evening.
A Canadian woman and her daughter have been found safe three days after they were reported missing following their arrival in California for a camping trip.
Audrey Rodrigue, 29, and 10-year-old daughter Emily “are in good health & simply enjoying their California camping trip,” the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office announced in a tweet Thursday evening.
Rodrigue’s boyfriend reported her and Emily missing on Monday after he was unable to reach them after their arrival in California.

It’s not clear where exactly the Rodrigues were found, but authorities said earlier this week that mother and daughter may have been spotted at a campground in Six Rivers National Forest, 550 km north of San Francisco.
Staff and visitors told officials at the time that the people appeared happy.
