Police investigate discovery of body in south Calgary

Calgary police are investigating a suspicious death after a body was found just south of the Silverado neighbourhood on Sunday evening.

Police were called to the area just after 5 p.m. Several officers could be seen combing the area near Sheriff King St. South at 6 p.m.

The Calgary Police Service said on Monday that a construction worker spotted the body and contacted police.

Police tape was draped along a section of the gravel road.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
