Tip from public helped locate man wanted on 23 outstanding warrants: Calgary police

Calgary police confirmed that they have located a 25-year-old man who was wanted on a number of outstanding warrants, including many connected to domestic offences.

On July 11, police requested help from the public in locating Cody Warren Mackenzie.

Police said Mackenzie was wanted for:

  • choking with intent;
  • assault causing bodily harm;
  • intimidation;
  • theft under $5,000;
  • eight counts of breaching a court order;
  • four counts of breaching an emergency protection order;
  • two counts of failing to appear in court;
  • one count of mischief to property.

In a release Thursday afternoon, police said a tip from the public helped officers locate Mackenzie, which led to his arrest.

Police said Mackenzie was arrested Wednesday, Aug. 15, in a grocery store parking lot at 7020 4 Street N.W. around 11:30 a.m.

Due to the nature of some of the charges against Mackenzie, no other information will be released in order to protect the privacy of the alleged victim.
