Police have arrested and charged three men after officers seized drugs and cash in Collingwood.
According to Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP, on Aug. 8 at around 4:30 p.m., officers spotted a wanted man in a vehicle in a parking lot on Balsa Street in Collingwood.
When police went to arrest the man, officers say they found drugs which led to the arrest of two more suspects.
According to police, officers seized a small amount of cocaine, 14 grams of purple-coloured fentanyl and around $950 in cash.
Three men are now facing several charges.
Police say 41-year-old Raymond Blencowe from Collingwood has been charged with possession of heroin, possession of cocaine and possession of other drugs.
Blencowe is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on Sept. 4.
According to police, 40-year-old Ryan Scott of Wasaga Beach has been charged with possession of heroin, possession of opioid (other than heroin), possession of heroin for the purpose of trafficking and possession of an opioid for the purpose of trafficking.
Police say 39-year-old Jason Nacinovich from Barrie is facing 12 charges which include possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to probation order, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and several drug-related charges.
According to police, both Scott and Nacinovich were held for bail court on Aug. 8 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie.
