CALGARY- Police are investigating two incidents involving children being approached by strangers.
On March 27, a 12-year-old boy was riding his bike near Tararidge Close and 64 Avenue N.E. when he was approached by a man in a black car, who allegedly asked him to get inside.
The boy refused, and biked away. He said the man was wearing baggy clothing including a black hoodie that was pulled over his face.

Police did not find the vehicle or suspect. They believe the incident might be related to a similar one on March 22 in the northwest.
In that case, a 9-year-old girl had left school in the 900 block of Tuscany Drive and was waiting for her mother, when a man approached her. He told her he was her uncle and that she would be safe with him, but not recognizing him, the girl ran to a nearby park.
The man got into a black, four-door sedan and drove away. When the girl’s mother arrived, she called police.
The suspect in that case is described as white, 6’ tall, wearing a black hoodie and dark blue jeans. One of his lips was cracked and bloody, and he had a deep voice.
Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
