Homicide team investigating death of 7-year-old child in Langley

A seven-year-old girl has died in Langley and it has now been revealed she was the victim of a homicide.

Homicide investigators were at a condo complex at 20053 68 Ave. Tuesday investigating the death of seven-year-old Aaliyah Rosa.

Cpl. Frank Jang said a 36-year-old woman who “was involved in the investigation” is under medical care.

Jang said “investigators have a firm understanding of what happened and we don’t believe that the public is in any danger.”

He went on to say they are “looking to hear from anyone who may have seen Aaliyah in the Langley area on Sunday, July 22.”

Neighbours confirm to Global News a middle-aged woman was wheeled out by paramedics on a stretcher Sunday night, but Monday night a body bag was removed.

The B.C. Coroners Service confirmed to Global News they are investigating this incident.
