Since June 14, nine different stores have reported a similar sort of theft in which a man comes into the store and lunges over the counter to grab packs of cigarettes. In one case, the man also allegedly threw a Slurpee drink at the clerk before taking the cigarettes.

Police said the man is between 5’8″ and 5’10” tall, has a medium build and is clean shaven with short grey hair. He also appears to be missing teeth.

Anyone with information about the man’s identity is asked to call Calgary Police Service’s non-emergency line at 403-266-1234 or to contact Crime Stoppers.
