The City of Winnipeg has opened its doors to residents as the weather heats up.
As of Friday, Winnipeggers are welcome to cool off in civic facilities during regular operating hours.

The news comes as heat warnings were put in place throughout parts of Manitoba on Thursday afternoon. Winnipeg is particularly in for a hot few days, with Saturday expected to come close to record-breaking temperatures.
City facilities that are normally open on weekdays and weekends are available to act as cooling areas, where anyone is welcome to come in for relief from the heat and have access to drinking water.
