Calmer, sunnier and warmer conditions roll in, but will they last for the weekend?
Saskatoon Forecast
Thursday
After a wild start to the week with strong storms flipping trailers in the Kindersley area and at least seven tornadoes touching down in southern Saskatchewan, calmer conditions have returned to wrap up the week.
A few clouds kicked off the day with temperatures in the low teens before we warmed up into the mid-20s through the morning under mostly sunny skies with humidex values in the 30s before noon.
A few more clouds may filter through this afternoon, but sunshine will be the dominating force of the day, with the mercury hopping into the upper 20s, which will feel like the low 30s with humidity.
Thursday Night
Mostly to partly clear skies will stick around through the night as we cool back into the mid-teens overnight.
Friday
Some clouds will start off the final day of the work week with a slight chance of showers in a few areas, before we get into some midday sunny breaks.
Temperatures should manage to make it into the low 30s in the afternoon, but it’ll feel like 34 with humidity as a few clouds and slight chance of showers spring up.
There is a decent chance of a thunderstorm late Friday night as a system builds in from Alberta.
Weekend
That system will drag through a cold front on Saturday, which will kick up some clouds and a chance of showers early in the day before we get into some sunshine to finish the day.
Sunday will be much sunnier, but northwesterly winds will pick up to 30 to 40 km/h both days with gusts upwards of 60 km/h behind the system, which will keep daytime highs in the low 20s through the weekend.
Work Week Outlook
Sunny skies will start off the third week of July with daytime highs climbing from the mid 20s Monday into the upper 20s mid-week with a few more clouds building in.
