Cranes to close part of Arthur Street in Winnipeg’s downtown Sunday

The City of Winnipeg said big construction will close an Exchange District street this weekend.

Northbound Arthur Street between McDermot Avenue and Bannatyne Avenue will be closed from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday for crane work.

“Pedestrian access will be maintained, and motorists should use alternate routes and allow additional travel time to get to their destinations,” said the city in a statement sent to media Friday.

Winnipeggers can find updates to street closures on the city’s website.

The city originally stated the closures would affect King Street, but sent out a correction Friday afternoon.
