Police investigating Hunt Club-area shooting that left teenage boy injured

Ottawa police are investigating a shooting late Thursday night in the city’s south end that left a 16-year-old boy injured.

Police responded to reports of gunshots at the 100-block of Forestglade Crescent — west of the Trans-Canada Highway, just north of Hunt Club Road — at approximately 10:40 p.m., according to an email statement from the Ottawa Police Service.

The statement said the teenage boy suffered minor injuries but did not provide further details about his condition.

Police didn’t say whether they have arrested anyone or are seeking any suspects.

Thursday night’s incident is the second shooting in that area in two days. The former incident, which occurred late Wednesday night, left another young man with minor injuries.

Police are investigating both incidents.
