The first day of summer kicks off with some heat, and the hot temperatures are expected to continue. There’s a chance some rain could be moving in for the weekend in Saskatoon’s weather outlook.

Thursday
The official first day of summer continued this week’s trend of hot weather. A daytime high of 30 degrees is expected and we will see mainly cloudy skies.
A heat warning remains in effect for northern and central parts of Saskatchewan. This is a reminder to residents that maximum daily temperatures are reaching or exceeding 29 degrees and minimum overnight temperatures are staying at or above 14 degrees.
Friday
Friday will see intervals of clouds and sunshine, with a daytime high of 28 degrees, which could feel like 31 with humidity.
There is a slight chance of showers in the afternoon with risk of a thunderstorm.
Saturday
After a hot and dry work week, the weekend is looking a little more unsettled.
There’s a chance the Saskatoon area could see some showers on Saturday, with a risk of scattered thunderstorms.
A daytime high into the high-20s is expected.
Sunday
Sunday also presents a chance to see some scattered thunderstorms developing later in the day.
We should see daytime temperatures reach into the high-20s.
