The coroner’s office has confirmed that they are investigating the death of a 3-year-old girl.
Just after 9:30 a.m. CT on March 20, the child was found unresponsive in a northeast Regina home in the 100-block of Montreal Street North.
Upon arrival, EMS provided emergency care and the girl was taken to hospital where she later died.
After the child’s death, at roughly 12:25 p.m., Regina police were called to the hospital.
The child’s identity is known and the family has been notified, however, the details will not be made public due to the victim’s age.
At this early stage in the investigation, police are unable to provide further details.
Regina police and the office of the chief coroner are working together to further investigate to clarify the circumstances surrounding the child’s death.
